The Iraqi government has decided to install gold inspection equipment at four airports to prevent the import of low-quality gold, Planning Ministry spokeswoman Abdul Zahra Hindwi told Rudaw.

Any jeweler who violates the law will be subject to legal action, including the closure of his workshop and the withdrawal of his license, as well as the confiscation of poor quality gold.
