The aims of this course are seen as the Strategic Management course is an integrative one designed to provide students the opportunity to develop skills in identifying, analyzing, and solving problems through a variety of assignments which represent the real business world, as well as understanding deeply the role of the strategic manager as the planner, decision maker and leader on the organizations, also introducing specifics tools, processes, frameworks which serves the organizations when faces issues and problems in the environment, and provide a basic understanding of the nature and dynamics of the strategy formulation and implementation processes as they occur in complex organizations.
Module Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to complete the following key tasks:
1. Understanding the processes of strategic management which is used now by all the companies in order to be adapting successfully with the environment.
2. Articulate a vision that gives meaning to all the firm’s stakeholders of the firm’s objectives.
3. Formulate a strategic plan that operationalizes the goals and objectives of the firm;
4. Recognize some frameworks such as (SWOT analyzing, Porter five forces, BCG framework, GE, Mackenzie 7s and balanced scorecard.
5. Specify current and desired strategic positioning in order to respond to market demands.
6. Evaluate and revise programs and procedures in order to achieve organizational goals.
